Mount Pleasant Vintage Is Applying for increased occupancy!
When we began the process of transitioning to a full Liquor Primary license, we were overwhelmed by the support we received from our neighbours, guests, and the wider community. Thanks to your letters, conversations, and encouragement, Mount Pleasant Vintage was officially approved for a full Liquor Primary license. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took the time to support us and to the City of Vancouver for recognizing our commitment to operating responsibly.
Today, we’re taking the next step.
We’re applying for an increase to our occupant load. a change that will allow us to better accommodate the demand we already see during our busiest nights and community events. This isn’t about changing who we are. It’s about making better use of the space we already have, improving the guest experience, and continuing to build a welcoming, vibrant venue that contributes to Vancouver’s growing hospitality and cultural scene.
A short letter of support can make a meaningful difference. BELOW, YOU WILL FIND A PRE-WRITTEN LETTER YOU CAN SEND TO THE CITY. Thank you for helping us continue building something special in Mount Pleasant!

Subject: Support for Mount Pleasant Vintage’s Occupant Load Increase
Email Body:
Dear City of Vancouver Licensing Team,
I am writing to express my support for Mount Pleasant Vintage’s application to increase their approved occupant load.
Mount Pleasant Vintage has become an important part of Vancouver’s hospitality community, creating thoughtful events, supporting local culture, and operating as a responsible business within the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood. Their recent approval for a full Liquor Primary license reflects the trust they have earned through their commitment to safe and responsible operations.
Increasing their occupant load will allow them to better accommodate the demand they already experience while continuing to provide a welcoming, well-managed environment for guests. I believe this amendment will strengthen the neighbourhood by supporting a successful independent business that contributes positively to Vancouver’s nightlife and community.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]
from the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
